HUBUNGAN TINGKAT PENGETAHUAN IBU TENTANG AIR SUSU IBU (ASI) DENGAN POLA PEMBERIAN ASI DI LOWOKWARU MALANG

Abstract

ASI merupakan sumber gizi penting yang berkontribusi terhadap pertumbuhan dan perkembangan otak, kematangan sistem pencernaan dan perkembangan sistem kekebalan tubuh terutama perlindungan dari penyakit infeksi (diare).Pengetahuan ibu merupakan salah satu faktor penting yang menentukan pemberian ASI secara eksklusif.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara tingkat pengetahuan ibu tentang ASI dengan pola pemberian ASI di RT 03/ RW 01 Tlogo Indah, Kecamatan Lowokwaru, Malang. Desain penelitian ini menggunakan analitik observasional dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Sampel sejumlah 30 orang diperoleh melalui teknik purposive sampling. Pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner, kemudian dianalisisdengan uji Spearman Rank (α<0,05). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya hubungan antara tingkat pengetahuan ibu tentang ASI dengan pola pemberian ASI di Lowokwaru Malang.

ABSTRACT

Breast milk is an important source of nutrients that contribute to the growth and development of the brain, maturity of the digestive system and the development of the immune system, especially protection from infectious diseases (diarrhea). Mother's knowledge is one of the important factors that determine exclusive breastfeeding. This study aims to determine the relationship between mother's knowledge level about breastfeeding with breastfeeding pattern in RT 03/RW 01 Tlogo Indah, Kecamatan Lowokwaru, Malang. The design of this study used observational analytics with cross sectional approach. A sample of 30 people was obtained through purposive sampling technique. Data collection using questioner, then analyzed by Spearman Rank test (α <0.05). The result showed that there was a correlation between mother's knowledge level about breastfeeding and breastfeeding pattern in Lowokwaru Malang.
