HUBUNGAN KEBIASAAN BERMAIN GADGET DENGAN KUALITAS TIDUR PADA ANAK USIA PRASEKOLAH DI TK DHARMA WANITA LANDINGSARI KECAMATAN DAU KABUPATEN MALANG
Abstract
Technological advances have also colored the concept of playing children. The gadget has recently become the most popular children's play media. Excessive use can trigger a negative impact. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between the habit of playing gadgets and the quality of sleep in preschoolers. The design of this study uses a correlational analytical method with a cross-sectional approach. The population in this study were preschoolers at Dharma Wanita Landungsari Kindergarten, Dau District, Malang Regency, which amounted to 64 children. The sample size is 55 children with a simple random sampling technique. The habit of playing gadgets as an independent variable and sleep quality as dependent varebel. Data was collected using a questionnaire. Data were analyzed using chi-square test with α = 0.05. The results of the research showed that most respondents were accustomed to playing gadgets (50.9%), and there was a significant between relationship between gadget playing habits and sleep quality (p = 0.001; OR = 8.727). Gadgets can be used as a medium to stimulate child development, but excessive use can trigger sleep quality disturbances in children. Parents are expected to be able to manage rest periods well and limit the time to enter the use of gadgets in children, especially during sleep.
