Peer Review Process

The submitted manuscript is first reviewed by an editor and must be free from plagiarism contents, the maximum limit of similarity is 25% (Turnitin). The submitted manuscript will be evaluated, whether it is suitable for our focus and scope or has a major methodological flaw.

 
The submitted manuscripts to this journal will be peer-reviewed at least 2 (two) or more expert reviewers from Peer-Reviewers Team. The reviewers give valuable comments improving the contents of the manuscript. The review process used in this journal is a double blind review system.
 
Reviewing process will consider novelty, objectivity, method, impact, conclusion, and references. The suggested decision will be evaluated in an editorial board meeting. Reviewers' comments are then sent to the corresponding author for necessary actions and responses, hopefully in 4-6 weeks.
 
The final decision of manuscript acceptance is solely made by Editor in Chief/Associate Editor (together with Editorial Board if required) according to reviewers' critical comments. The final decision of the manuscript is solely based on the Editor's final review which considering peer-reviewers comments (but not solely by Reviewer).
 
Publication of accepted articles including assigning the article to the published will be made by Editor in Chief by the sequence of accepted date and geographical distribustion of autors as thematic issue.
 

DECLARATION OF USING ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE (AI) IN THE WRITING PROCESS

Authors are required to disclose the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and AI-assisted technologies in the preparation of their manuscripts. This includes, but is not limited to, tools used for generating text, improving language quality, checking grammar, creating images or figures, analyzing data, or summarizing literature.

If AI or AI-assisted technologies were used, authors must provide a clear and transparent statement in the manuscript describing how these tools were applied during the writing or research process. The declaration should specify the name of the AI tool, version (if available), and the specific purpose of its use (e.g., grammar checking, reference management, text summarization, statistical analysis, or figure creation).

AI tools cannot be listed as authors or co-authors, and authors are fully responsible for the accuracy, integrity, and originality of all content produced with the assistance of AI. The use of AI must not compromise research integrity or lead to plagiarism, data fabrication, or manipulation.

If AI or AI-assisted technologies were not used, authors should include a statement confirming this, such as:

“No AI or AI-assisted technologies were used in the preparation of this manuscript.”

If AI or AI-assisted technologies were used, authors may include a statement such as:

“The authors used [name of AI tool] for [specific purpose, e.g., grammar checking and language refinement]. The final content, interpretation, and conclusions are entirely the authors’ own responsibility.”

This policy aims to promote transparency, uphold academic integrity, and ensure accountability in scholarly writing.

Publication Ethics

Publication Ethic

Nursing News: Jurnal Ilmiah Keperawatan  is a reviewed journal published by UNITRI PRESS. This statement describes the ethical behavior of all parties involved in the process of publishing an article in this journal, including the author, chief editor, editorial board, reviewers and publisher.

This journal follows the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) in dealing with all aspects of publication ethics and in particular how to handle cases of research and publication violations. All articles in this journal involving human subjects must respect the principles of research ethics as described in the Declaration of Helsinki.

Nursing News: Jurnal Ilmiah Keperawatan   adapts COPE to meet high-quality ethical standards for publishers, editors, writers and reviewers. As an important issue, publication ethics needs to be explained clearly in order to improve the quality of research worldwide. In this section, we describe the standards for editors, writers, and reviewers. In addition, the publisher has no right to violate the integrity of the content and only supports publishing in a timely manner.

For Editors

Editors must be responsible for every article published in the Nursing News: Jurnal Ilmiah Keperawatan  The editor must help the author to follow instructions according to the rules set by the manager.

The editor can communicate with other editors or reviewers in making the final decision.

Editors must objectively grade manuscripts for publication, judging each on its merits regardless of the author's nationality, ethnicity, political beliefs, race, religion, gender, seniority, or institutional affiliation. The editor must also decline the assignment when there is a potential conflict of interest.

Editors need to ensure that documents sent to reviewers do not contain author information, and vice versa.

The editor's decision must be informed to the author accompanied by the reviewer's comments unless it contains hurtful or slanderous comments.

The editor must respect the request by the author that one person not review the submission if this is reasonable and practicable.

Editors and all staff must guarantee the confidentiality of submitted manuscripts.

Editors will be guided by COPE flowcharts in case of suspected infringement or authorship challenges.

For Reviewers:

Reviewers need to review ethical questions and possible breaches of research and publications.

Reviewers will complete work on time and should notify editors if they are unable to complete work.

Reviewers must maintain the confidentiality of the manuscript.

Reviewers should not accept to review manuscripts if there is a potential conflict of interest between them and any of the authors.

For Authors [Authors]:

The authors certify that the material has not been previously published and that they have not transferred any rights to the article elsewhere.

Authors must ensure the originality of the work and that they have properly cited the work of others according to the format reference.

Authors may not engage in plagiarism or self-plagiarism.
Authors must ensure that they follow the authorship criteria in the instructions for authors of the Nursing News: Jurnal Ilmiah Keperawatan .

The author does not recommend any personal information that could identify the patient in the form of any part of the description, photograph or genealogy. When patient photographs are essential and indispensable as scientific information, the authors have received informed consent in written form and have stated this clearly.

The author must provide data to the editor and work details in case of data falsification or fabrication.

Journal authors must clarify everything that can cause a conflict of interest such as work, research costs, consultant fees
