PERBEDAAN SEBELUM DAN SESUDAH DIBERIKAN METODE CERAMAH, VIDEO DAN DEMONSTRASI TERHADAP SKILL MAHASISWA DALAM MELAKUKAN RESUSITASI JANTUNG PARU DEWASA DI FAKULTAS TEKNIK UNIVERSITAS TRIBHUWANA TUNGGADEWI
Abstract
Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) is a set of intervensition that aim to restore and maintain the vital function of organs in the victims of cardiac arrest and stop breathing through the provision of chest compressions and breathing assistance. This study aims to determine the differences before and after being given lecture, video and demonstration methods on student skill in performing adult pulmonary heart resuscitation at the Faculty of Engineering, University of Tribhuwana Tunggadewi. The design research design used pre eskperiment with the design of one group pre-post test design. Sampling technique uses purposive sampling with a sample of 30 respondents. Data collection uses observation sheets. Data analysis using Paired T-test with a significance level of 0.05. The results of the study before being given lectures, videos and demonstrations of more than half of respondents (66.7%) had less category skills in conducting adult CPR. After giving lectures, videos and demonstrations, almost all respondents (93.3%) had good category skills in conducting adult CPR. Paired T-test was obtained p-value = 0,000, which means that there were differences before and after the lecture, video and demonstration methods on student skill in performing adult pulmonary heart resuscitation at the Faculty of Engineering, University of Tribhuwana Tunggadewi. Further researchers are advised to examine the provision of CPR to ordinary people because in this study only using the Hand Only CPR procedure to increase the number of standard CPR in the community in providing help.
