HUBUNGAN TINGKAT PENGETAHUAN KELUARGA (IBU) TENTANG KEBUTUHAN GIZI DENGAN STATUS GIZI PADA LANSIA DI TLOGO SURYO MALANG

ABSTRACT
Health conditions at this stage is determined by the quality and quantity of nutritional intake. Knowledge possessed by the family of the elderly, especially maternal nutritional status affects the elderly. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of knowledge of family relationships (mother) with the nutritional status of the elderly. This type of research is analytical descriptive method crosssectional approach. Its population is a mother aged 30 - 45 years, elementary education - high school, physically and mentally healthy in Tlogo Suryo Malaysia with a population of 28 people. Sampling with a total sampling. The data obtained were analyzed by using a statistical test to rank the degree of significance spearment (0.05). The results of 50% of mothers had less knowledge level. A total of 42.9% elderly had normal nutritional status. There is a significant relationship between level of knowledge of the family (my mother) about the nutritional needs of the elderly with nutritional status (p-value 0.000 <0.05) with (r) 0.872. Family (Mother) can improve their knowledge by following health seminar, training, counseling, more active socializing with people and a lot of reading (especially about nutrition).
