HUBUNGAN ANTARA SENAM TERA DENGAN KUALITAS DAN KUANTITAS TIDUR LANSIA WANITA PADA KELOMPOK SENAM TERA DI STADION GAJAYANA MALANG
Abstract
ABSTRACT
Tera Gymnastics has many benefits, one of which is that each of its movements has benefits for physical and mental health. The period of the elderly is a closing period for a person's life span. Physical and psychological setbacks occur gradually. Some exercises that can be done by the elderly are tera gymnastics, yoga, kegel gymnastics, and ergonomic exercise. The life expectancy of women is longer than that of men, so the number of elderly women is more than men (11.29 million compared to 9.26 million). The problem of aging in general in Indonesia is dominated by women. Increasing age increases the decrease in sleep period. Based on these considerations, the researchers wanted to examine and find out the relationship between tera gymnastics and the quality and quantity of sleep for elderly women. The design in this study used descriptive correlation research. The case control approach concerns how risk factors are studied using a retrospective approach. The population in this study were 134 elderly with 50 elderly in the tera gymnastics group at Gajayana Stadium Malang and 84 elderly at Posyandu Permadi RW 02 Dinoyo, Tlogomas Malang District. The sample in this study was 30 people. With a division that does tera gymnastics of 15 people and those who do not do tera gymnastics are 15 people. The instrument in this study used a questionnaire. After the research was done, the results of the chi-square test showed that p = 0.000 <α = 0.05, H0 was rejected so that it could be said that there was a relationship between the quantity of sleep and tera gymnastics. The results of the analysis showed that there was a significant difference between the value of quality and quantity of sleep after the elderly woman who did tera gymnastics and the elderly woman who did not do tera gymnastics.
