DEPRESI BERKAITAN DENGAN KEMANDIRIAN PERAWATAN DIRI PASIEN PASCA STROKE DI RUMAH SAKIT PANTI WALUYA SAWAHAN MALANG

Abstract

Hal yang sering tidak diketahui dan luput dari perhatian adalah selain menurunnya kekuatan otot, stroke juga memberikan dampak emosional seperti depresi pada penderitanya. Padahal gejala depresi pasca stroke yang teratasi dan mendapatkan penanganan yang tepat akan membantu meningkatkan status medis stroke. Dapat mengurangi kesakitan dan menurunnya kemampuan fungsi tubuh dalam memenuhi aktivitas sehari-hari, sampai meningkatkan kualitas hidupnya. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui adakah hubungan antara depresi dengan kemandirian perawatan diri pasien pasca stroke di Rumah Sakit Panti Waluya Sawahan Malang. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian studi korelasional dengan pendekatan secara cross sectional. Populasi berjumlah 40 orang dengan sampel 36 orang menggunakan teknik simple random sampling. Variabel independen adalah depresi pasien pasca stroke non hemoragik. Variabel dependen adalah kemandirian perawatan diri pasien pasca stroke non hemoragik. Instrumen pada penelitian ini berupa kuesioner Beck Depression Inventory dan kuesioner Barthel Indeks. Hasil nilai uji Fisher Exact yaitu p-value 0.000 < 0.050 yaitu ada hubungan antara depresi dengan kemandirian perawatan diri pasien pasca stroke. Kesimpulan dari hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan sebagian besar pasien depresi pasca stroke mengalami tingkat ketergantungan berat. Oleh karena itu pentingnya untuk institusi pendidikan memberitahukan pengetahuan tentang depresi pasca stroke dan tenaga kesehatan mengetahui penanganan depresi pasca stroke sedini mungkin untuk keberhasilan pengobatan dan rehabilitasi kemandirian perawatan dirinya.

The purpose of this study was to determine whether there is a relationship of depression between self-care independence of post-stroke patients in Panti Waluya Sawahan Malang Hospital. This study uses a correlational study design with a cross sectional approach. The population numbered 40 people with a sample of 36 people using simple random sampling technique. The independent variable is depression of non-hemorrhagic post-stroke patients. The dependent variable is the self-care independence of non-hemorrhagic post-stroke patients. The instruments in this study were the Beck Depression Inventory questionnaire and the Barthel Index questionnaire. The results of the Fisher Exact test are p-value 0,000 < 0.050, there is a relationship between and self-care independence of patients after non-hemoragic stroke. The conclusions from the results of this study indicate that most post-stroke depression patients experience a high degree of dependence. Therefore it is important for educational institutions to provide knowledge about post-stroke depression and health workers to know how to handle post-stroke depression as early as possible for the success of treatment and rehabilitation for self-care independence.
