HUBUNGAN PENGETAHUAN DENGAN SELF EFFICACY GURU DALAM MELAKUKAN PERTOLONGAN PERTAMA CEDERA PADA SISWA SEKOLAH DASAR DI SD INPRES KURU TEPE, SUMBA BARAT, NTT
Abstract
Injury to elementary school students can occur at any time, so teachers are required to have good knowledge and self-efficacy in helping injured students. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship of knowledge with teacher's self-efficacy in conducting first aid injuries to elementary school students of SD Inpres Kuru Tepe, West Sumba, NTT. The study design used a correlative design with cross sectional approach. The study population was 45 teachers and the study was sample as many as 40 people with a random sampling. The data collection techniques used instruments such as knowledge and self-efficacy questionnaires. The results of the research proved that 22 (55%) respondents had less knowledge about first aid and 21 (52.5%) respondents had less self-efficacy in helping elementary school students. The results of data analysis using the Fisher's exact statistical test showed that there was a relationship of knowledge with the teacher's self-efficacy in conducting first aid to elementary school students at SD Inpres Kuru Tepe, Kab. West Sumba, NTT with p value = (0,000) <(0.050). Future researchers are expected to provide health first aid education to increase teacher’s knowledge and self-efficacy in conducting first aid of injury to elementary school students.
