PENGARUH PENDIDIKAN KESEHATAN TENTANG PHBS TERHADAP PENCEGAHAN SCABIES PADA ANAK JALANAN
Abstract
Scabies is an infectious skin disease caused by sensitizing infestations of mites sarcoptes scabie varien hominis. One way to prevent scabies by providing health education about PHBS so that street children can behave clean and healthy. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of health education on PHBS on the prevention of scabies in street children in Pasar Lama Gadang, Sukun District, Malang City. The research design used pre-experimental design with one group pre and post test design. The research sample consisted of 30 street children with the determination of using random sampling. Data collection techniques using instruments in the form of observation sheets. Data analysis method used is Marginal Homogenity test. The results of the study proved that almost all (90.0%) respondents behaved less in prevention of scabies before being given health education about PHBS and most (66.7%) respondents respondents behaved adequately in the prevention of scabies after being given health education about PHBS. Marginal Homogenity test results obtained p value = (0,000) <(0,050) so H1 is accepted, meaning that there is an effect of health education on PHBS on the prevention of scabies in street children in Pasar Lama Gadang Sukun District, Malang City. Based on the results of the study, it is expected that street children maintain personal hygiene and the surrounding environment to prevent and cure scabies.
